Description
This study contributes to the general clinical evaluation of the patient and in particular of renal function. It allows to identify substances or cells that are associated with different metabolic diseases such as diabetes, or urinary tract diseases such as urinary infections or acute or chronic kidney diseases.
- Collection of the first urine of the day or occasional urine (medium stream) in a sterile bottle. Women: not menstruating, preferable to wait 2 days after the last day of bleeding. In the case of pediatric patients (less than 2 years old): the sample is obtained in the laboratory by means of a collection bag.
- Delivery of urine sample to laboratory personnel in a period not exceeding 40 minutes
